Here is some information aimed at helping you avoid the time-consuming and sometimes costly experimentation - we've made the mistakes and learned the hard way so you don't have to.

Glue gun - PVA - foam fixers - glue stick...

Which really is the best? In our opinion, none of them! We are adamant supporters of Glue Dots, which come in all shapes and sizes from micro to 12mm, from dots to lines and even pictures!

Of course some may disagree and be firm supporters of the glue gun, or whatever, but we can only go by our own experience of trying them all, and find that these wonderful little Glue Dots are not only very sticky but mess-free, quick and easy - just what you need when you have 150 pull bows to stick on 150 boxes, and 3 flowers to stick on to each of the 150 pull-bows ..... get the picture?

Favour making machine

This has to be, without a shadow of a doubt, the essential piece of equipment for professionals. It is used to make the net favours, and a competent handler can turn out 40-50 basic favours an hour - impressive, isn't it.

The downside is the cost - they are expensive if you want a good one.  We offer a rental scheme for the favour making machine, but because of the size of the gadget it is only viable for local customers.   To see our Favour Maker machine click here

There are several possible options for reducing the cost:

• If you know other Brides or Wedding organizers you could share the cost;
• Purchase the machine and then sell it after the Wedding to recover some of the cost;
• Start a business making wedding favours after you've finished yours!

This is not to say you can't make net favours without one of these - they can be alot of fun to do, especially if a group of friends get together over a coffee (or something stronger.....). See the page on 'Making a Bomboniere' for details.
